Take it or leave.
Some advice.
“Just give up, it’s shit.”
Fuck that. I am the boss.
Don’t judge me. That comes later.
Who are you to say what I can and can’t write?
The point is to get it all out and worry about the consequences later.
You can’t hold me back. I am like a tsunami bearing down on you.
Don’t go back. Just let it happen.
Our thoughts flow freely like water coursing down a river.
You don’t tell a river to stop flowing — unless you’re a beaver.
But you’re not a beaver dammit.
You’re a writer who wants words to appear on the page. You need it like Gollum needs the ring.
Editors can worry about whether they make sense later. But right now you’re the captain of this ship.
You are free like the wind, like the river, like nature itself.
Don’t worry about all your problems. Hakuna ma-fuckin-tata. They’ll figure themselves out later.
Don’t stop typing. Just vomit the words out and clean up later.
Don’t think about how other people will judge you. They don’t care about you as much as you do.
You are the only one who can stop you from writing.
I can’t stop. I won’t stop until everything that needs to be said has been said.
Okay, now take a breath.
Slow down.
Go back and refine.
Like prospecting for gold.
And when it’s ready.
Be proud.
Celebrate that shit.
I deserve the praise.
Quick shoutout to Bridget Baker and write sh*t mondays for the prompt: what does your writing need to hear!

I prefer to slow down and refine my work too. I value producing high-quality, accurate articles for my audience.
"Go back and refine."-- that's it exactly. And using one o' them tin pans like the old prospectors is optional. 👍
