Ignore Traditional Art Advice
Wonderful interview with Emma Gannon and Amie McNee. We all know Amie is the biggest cheerleader for anyone making art. This particular snippet was my favorite.
“I’ve never wanted a job. That confession is tantamount of blasphemy in this culture of work worship. I think our society venerates meaningless work and shames us for wanting meaningful labour.” - Amie McNee
The King of Kickstarter
Love him or hate him, you have to admit Tim Feriss is an excellent interviewer and gets some incredible guests.
In this episode he had a three hour (How insane is that?) chat with #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson. If you didn’t know Brandon has sold more than 40 million books and has raised over $40m+ on Kickstarter. If you are an author looking to learn from someone prolific, there’s no better choice.
Now This is Creative Marketing
If you think you’ve tried everything to market your book, music, or art, think again. I won’t spoil it for you but you MUST watch how Gethyn Davies uses videos to catch your attention and market his work.

This Week’s Creativity Card
Creativity often benefits from using multiple senses. How can you make something visual from something you are hearing in the moment?
Remember, there will be a new set of sparks and a Creativity Card each week, so subscribe and follow along or share this with people who might need some inspiration.
If you have any ideas for creative sparks leave them in the comments. I’d love to hear what’s sparking your creativity right now.
Until next time, stay motivated and stay creative.
