Let’s Get Rejected
Jia Jiang’s book Rejection Proof shows how we can destigmatize rejection. I joined a 100-rejection challenge for the year. If you want in, let me know in the comments.
Eww David?

You all know Dan Levy as the super confident David Rose from Schitt’s Creek, but in this TikTok, he talks about the challenges of creating things. The process of creating looks glamorous when it’s a finished product, but no one sees all the hard work it takes to make that thing happen.
Fear = Procrastination
Amie McNee is putting in the work for her upcoming book We Need Your Art. She also has some of the most profound Substack articles I’ve ever read about art and the creative act. If we want to be prolific creators, we need to confront our fears, because they’re preventing us from making real progress!
Also Introducing Creativity Cards!
I’ve also been working behind the scenes on a very fun project called Creativity Cards to go along with my Creativity Parties. There are six decks, ranging from Burnout to Play, dedicated to helping you with your creative practice.
If you’re interested in learning more or want to share your response to this week’s card, leave a comment! Here’s a preview of a card from the Creative Comeback deck.
And remember, there will be a new card each week, so subscribe and follow along!
That’s it for this week’s Creative Sparks. If you liked this format, let me know in the comments or share it with someone! I’d love to hear what’s sparking your creativity right now.
Until next time, stay motivated and stay creative.

Really enjoyed this post, I love the Dan Levy clip and the permission slip, I use that word a lot. I think we are giving permission to the child in us! I’ll watch the Ted Talk in a mo!
I’m so glad to see the creative party website has launched. Yay!
It sounds like they are in person but I didn’t see a city / state mentioned.
Maybe add the location info to the FAQs?
